Each of our business lawyers is skilled and experienced at transactional and commercial litigation work. Many times, a larger business law firm will have individual attorneys in different departments that work on either transactions or business disputes that may require litigation, but not both. By building and continuing your relationship with the same attorneys, we gain a better understanding of your business and are able to provide more valuable advice.
At Palmersheim Dettmann, S.C., our attorneys have been consistently recognized by the legal community of Madison and Dane County for their skill and legal knowledge in business law issues.
Attorney Kevin Palmersheim has been practicing law since 1992 in the state of Wisconsin. Mr. Palmersheim has been recognized by peers as one of the top business lawyers in Dane County in surveys by Madison Magazine. He has also been recognized by the Wisconsin Law Journal as a 2010 Leader In The Law, both for his work for the legal system and for representing business clients in cases that have been successful in the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He is a past president of the Dane County Bar Association, after being elected by his legal colleagues in Dane County.
Attorney Cathleen Dettmann is a shareholder and joined the firm in 2009. She concentrates her practice on business litigation, including franchise disputes, copyright/trademark issues, business break-ups and non-compete/trade secret litigation. Cathleen is an experienced trial attorney and has successfully tried cases to judges and juries in both state and federal courts. She has argued cases before the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and Supreme Court as well as the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She also does a considerable amount of work on transactional matters.
